BLE Explorer ("the App") is a professional Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) diagnostic tool. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles your data.

1. Data Collection & Sharing

• No Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).
• No Tracking: The App does not use any analytics, advertising SDKs, or user tracking mechanisms.
• No Third-Party Sharing: Since we do not collect any data, no data is ever shared with third parties.

2. Permissions & Usage

The App requests the following permissions solely to enable Bluetooth functionality as required by the Android and iOS operating systems:

• BLUETOOTH_SCAN & BLUETOOTH_CONNECT: Required to discover, connect to, and communicate with nearby Bluetooth devices.
• BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE: Required only when using the "GATT Advertiser" feature to broadcast signals.
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: On older versions of Android (11 and below), the operating system requires location access to perform Bluetooth scans. We do not record or use your GPS location.
• INTERNET: Used only if you explicitly choose to use a feature that requires it (e.g., viewing external developer documentation or DFU firmware links).

All Bluetooth operations happen entirely on your local device.

3. Data Storage

• Local Only: All data generated during your session (scan results, device logs, diagnostic reports) is stored in the App's temporary memory or local storage.
• User-Initiated Export: If you choose to export a Diagnostic Report (Excel), the file is saved to your device's local storage or shared via your system's share sheet. We never upload these files to our servers.

4. Security

We follow industry-standard best practices to ensure the App is secure. Because the App does not have a backend server or account system, your data is as secure as your mobile device itself.

5. Children's Privacy

BLE Explorer is a developer tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
